By overseeing our closed supply chain, from feed to finished product and transport, we are able to maintain complete control. What's more, we produce our own milk replacers through Verveka Veevoeder, as well as calf skins through subsidiary Dosca Huidenhandel. This allows us complete control over every step in order to guarantee the highest possible quality.

We select our calves at two centrally located collection centres in Belgium, with the majority of animals coming from dairy farms.

Vanlommel: Growth, innovation and sustainability since 1952

Founded in 1952 as a family business, Vanlommel started out trading calves, before growing into a specialist in the production of high-quality veal. Over the years, Vanlommel has continued to expand and invest, from the opening of its own slaughterhouse in 1988 to the acquisition of Verveka Veevoeder and Dosca Huidenhandel. Innovation plays a major role, with projects such as the automation of the cutting room, heat recovery, solar panels and even a wind turbine. What's more, we are committed to sustainability by investing in extensive heat recovery systems.
