We monitor the entire supply chain, from trade and transportation to reception and inspection, offering maximum traceability. At our collection centres, an external, independent professor ensures the continuous monitoring of animal welfare, enabling us to consistently meet the highest standards and customer expectations.
Calf transport
Vanlommel has two centrally located collection centres, thereby minimising the distance travelled to the calf farms and slaughterhouse. Together with our trusted partners, we ensure safe and reliable transport, so that the calves arrive at their destination in the best possible condition. These short distances help contribute to the animals’ overall wellbeing.

The calves are then entrusted to our trusted calf farmers, who monitor them closely in collaboration with Vanlommel veterinarians and technicians. With a focus on evolution, health and wellbeing, each calf receives the best possible care. Our proprietary Verveka animal feed, perfectly tailored to every animal’s needs, further strengthens our closed supply chain, while also guaranteeing the quality of the end product.
